Terms of Engagement

Summary:

We will always do our best to fulfil your needs and meet your goals, but sometimes it is best to have a few simple things written down so that we both know what is what, who should do what and what happens if stuff goes wrong.  In this contract you won’t find complicated legal terms or large passages of unreadable text.  We have no desire to trick you into agreeing to something that you might later regret.  We do want what’s best for the safety of both parties, now and in the future.

In short

You (“Individual/Company”) are hiring me Cathy White (i-Assist Admin Solutions) located at PO Box 7170, West Lakes  SA 5021 to provide Administrative Support for a price agreed upon in writing and as provided on the invoice that has directed you to this page.

Of course it’s a little more complicated, but we’ll get to that.

What do both parties agree to do?

You have the authority to enter into this contract on behalf of yourself, your company or your organisation. You’ll give us with everything we need to complete the project as and when and in the format we need it. You’ll review our work, provide feedback and approval in a timely manner too. Deadlines work two ways, so you’ll also be bound by dates we set together. You also agree to stick to the payment schedule agreed to and provided on the invoice that has directed you this this page.

We have the experience and ability to perform the services you need from us and we will carry them out in a professional and timely manner.  Along the way we will endeavour to meet all the deadlines set but we can’t be responsible for a missed launch date or a deadline if you have been late in supplying materials or have not approved or signed off our work on-time at any stage.  On top of this we will also maintain the confidentiality of any information that you give us.

Getting down to the nitty gritty

i-Assist will:

  • Track the time used on your project(s) using Harvest Time Tracking.  Hours are billed quarter hour increments.
  • Let you know when we are approaching the end of the time pack you have purchased in order to give you the option to purchase additional hours or wrap up the project.
  • Meet with you (or your designated representative) at the very beginning of our relationship to discuss and clearly define the aims and objectives of the administrative support required.
  • Grant you full permission to use any graphics and other visual elements that we specifically create for you.  We will save a copy of all files into a shared Dropbox folder and you should store them really safely (in case you want to use them again).
  • Try our absolute best to provide error-free work. Typographical errors or mistakes which are clearly our fault will be corrected at no charge.

You will:

  • Provide all content, outlines, photos, product images, software, and account provisions (e.g. email account and password, access to CRM system, etc.), etc, necessary for any projects.
  • Ensure that source material is clear and legible (especially hand written material).
  • Provide all pertinent information, and for ensuring said information is accurate, truthful and complete so that we can perform / complete your projects.
  • Give us sufficient notice and allow for reasonable timeframes for project completions, as well as provide a required deadline (which must be a minimum two days from the date of the request)
  • Pay the agreed fee, in advance. Payment must be received within 7 days.  If payment is delayed or not made for any reason, work will be immediately suspended until such a time as payment is received.  The paid fee covers work to a limit of the number of hours shown on the invoice.  Any additional work requested that falls outside of this will be charged extra at $50 per hour – unless another bulk-hour pack is purchased.  No additional work will be carried out, nor costs incurred, without prior consent and approval by you.
  • Grant us permission to mention your business to any future clients (we’d obviously let you know before doing so) and show off our work and share what we are working on with other people.

But where is all the horrible small print?

Just like a parking ticket, you cannot transfer this contract to anyone else without our permission. This contract stays in place and need not be renewed.  If for some reason one part of this contract becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts of it remain in place.

Although the language is simple, the intentions are serious and this contract is a legal document under exclusive jurisdiction of South Australian courts. Oh and don’t forget those men with big dogs.
